Negative Space
Negative space, whether pitch black or overly bright, entirely in focus or eye-crossingly busy, allows the viewer to see more than just the band or the musician, but instead to feel the mood, to focus on the sweat or the smoke or the movement, and to feel the energy and passion of those performing.
